Technical and security standards

Outcome Technologies is dedicated to providing clients with quality services, based around our unique and powerful software tools, in a highly secure environment.

The company is registered and audited against:

  • BS EN ISO 9001:2000 (Operation of a Quality Management System), and
  • BS 7799:Part 2: 2002 (Operation of an Information Security Management System)

Outcome Technologies is also registered under the Data Protection Act 1998.

When developing our software, we combine elements of ‘agile’ methodologies within a test-driven and primarily open source environment. This enables rapid development and deployment of core products, and provides the flexibility to meet bespoke client requirements in a highly controlled and secure way.

The technical team at Outcome Technologies has many years of combined experience in a variety of industries, and is dedicated to advancing and enhancing its technological environment.

We participate in and sponsor a number of open source events, activities and projects, including:

Project management

The Outcome Technologies Project Management Team quality checks every step of our programme implementations, deployments, and bespoke modifications.

Outcome Technologies follows strict quality control and version management protocols to ensure our work exceeds client expectations. We employ sound project management methodologies, and ensure every project has a clear and consistent strategy that adapts to a variety of disciplines. This clarity and consistency ensures our project teams have the drive to work together effectively.

When the Outcome Technologies programme office deploys a project, the client has full access to our operational team.

24/7 Call Centre

Outcome Technologies make use of the resources of other BUPA companies to provide a complete range of services. Our Call Centre has a well developed clinical capability, and delivers case management and health management services.

Our nurse-led service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support and assist patients, delivering medical support by telephone. Nurses have access to the Call Centre's knowledgebase, and to BUPA's Group Medical team.

The Call Centre is staffed by fully qualified nurses. The nurses have experience in a wide range of clinical specialities, gained over several years following qualification. They are all specially trained in coaching and disease support, and use these skills to enhance treatment. The nurses can help patients achieve behavioural changes that enable them to better manage their health, especially when they suffer from long-term conditions.

By coaching patients in essential skills, the nurses also enhance the doctor-patient relationship. Patients can talk to our nurses safe in the knowledge that our specialist service is completely confidential.
